The Health Education Minor
Requirements total 25 hours. This includes 4 hours of Biology, 6 hours of Psychology, 12 hours of Human Performance and Wellness and 3 hours of Education. Seven of the required hours meet a general education requirement. In order for this endorsement to be placed on an Illinois teacher certificate, the candidate must also pass the appropriate content area test as administrated by the state. Courses in this minor are designed to prepare the candidate for this test.
