Available Financial Aid Trinity International University awards financial aid on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement, and athletic and musical ability. Students apply for federal, state, and Trinity financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA information is used to calculate the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and to determine the student's eligibility for most federal, state, and Trinity financial assistance. Financial need is calculated by taking the Cost of Attendance (tuition, fees, room and board, books, supplies, etc) minus the EFC. Trinity provides a variety of resources to help in funding your college education: scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study. NOTE: Trinity institutional aid (money provided by Trinity) will not be allowed to exceed the cost of tuition and mandatory fees in a given academic year. These awards are given to those students who show merit and demonstrate ability in various areas of achievement. They do not require repayment. These gifts are given based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA. They do not require repayment. Gift aid is available from the federal government, state governments, Trinity, churches, and outside sources. These are available to students to help meet their financial need. They must be repaid according to a monthly schedule after graduation, based on the provisions of the specific loan program, as indicated on the promissory note. This type of financial aid is awarded to students who show financial need. This aid requires the student to work at a part-time job on campus. There is no guarantee of work on campus, though most students are able to find some employment at Trinity. |
