AWARD-WINNING TRINITY EDUCATION GRADUATE

Chuck Leatherwood, a graduate of Trinity's REACH to Teach program, says, "I was prepared for my job and I love it!"

Leatherwood was recently recognized as a visionary teacher in Chicago Public School's Third Annual DRIVE Awards. The DRIVE (Delivering Results through Innovative and Visionary Education ) Award recognizes one teacher in each of the CPS 24 geographic areas. Leatherwood is a kindergarten teacher at the Sayre Language Academy. Winners receive a cash prize for themselves and their school, as well as membership on the district's Teacher Leadership Advisory Council.
