Elementary Education Major

Requirements total 69 hours. This includes 48 hours in the major, 3 hours in supporting courses, and a minimum of 18 hours in an area of concentration.

Area of Concentration (18 hrs):

Consult the School of Education for options and specific requirements. A minimum of 9 hours of upper-division course work is required.

Additional Certification Requirements:

Successful completion of preprofessional skills tests in Reading, Math, and Language Arts as administered by the School of Education.

A total of 58 hours of general education must be completed in accordance with State of Illinois requirements. This course work may overlap related courses and Trinity general education requirements.
