    Dr. Carlson is a husband to Donna, a dad to three sons, a pastor since 1974, an author (Understanding Teaching, Effective Biblical Teaching for the 21st Century; Perspectives on Children’s Spiritual Formation; Shepherding Parents; and Rock Solid Teacher, Discovering the Joy of Teaching Like Jesus), the former Director of Rorheim Institute (which is the adult leadership development network for Awana Clubs International), and a son of God’s grace through Jesus Christ.  He was trained growing up in Northeast Nebraska, schooled at Grace University (Omaha), Talbot School of Theology (Biola University, LaMirada, CA), and University of Nebraska, Lincoln.  Dr. Carlson gets joy from discipling leaders, building families, developing ministries, and most of all teaching God’s Word. Greg and Donna live in the Chicago area.

    Before coming to Trinity, Dr. Cooper was a missionary in Central and Eastern Europe for 13 years, 10 of which were church planting in south-central Romania.  He is a member of the American Academy of Religion and the Evangelical Missiological Society.  His publications are in the Missiology, Journal of Nature, Religion and Culture, Sacred Tribes Journal, Mission Studies, Global Missiology, Common Ground Journal, Christian Education Journal and he has presented academic papers to the Center for Studies on New Religions, Midwest American Academy of Religion, Evangelical Missiological Society and Evangelical Ministries to New Religions.  He is a research fellow of the Western Institute for Intercultural Studies and editor of Sacred Tribes Journal.

    Before teaching at the college, Professor Massouh taught at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, pastored Elmbrook Church in Wisconsin, and was on the Translation Committee of the Arabic Holy Bible. He was a contributor to the Expositor’s Bible Commentary and the New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology and Exegesis. Massouh was selected to the Chicago Tribune "All Professor Team" of small universities.

    Dr. Moulder has had a variety of teaching experiences over the last twenty-five years, which include Moffat College of Bible, Kenya; Union Biblical Seminary, India; North Park Seminary, Chicago; Trinity Torch Graduate School of Theology, Seoul; and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He also teaches regularly in the REACH program. In addition, Dr. Moulder has written many articles regarding the Old Testament and the New Testament.

    Prior to coming to Trinity, Dr. Raquel taught at East Texas Baptist University, Nunez College, New Orleans Baptist Seminary, and Xavier University. She has costarted two ESL ministries, is fluent in three languages (English, French, Spanish), and has studied four more (Greek, Hebrew, Latin, and German). Dr. Raquel specializes in textual criticism of the New Testament.

    Dr. Reynolds serves as executive director and associate dean, South Chicago Regional Center. He received his BS from Illinois State University, his MAR/UM from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and his DMin from McCormick Theological Seminary. Dr. Reynolds, who has extensive experience in the corporate business world, maintains on-going ministry involvement as the pastor of a growing urban church. He has special interests in mentoring and urban leadership development. In addition to his central leadership role in the TEDS MAR/UM Program, he occasionally teaches at the seminary’s Deerfield campus.

     

    Jana L. Sundene, MA

    Before assuming her position at Trinity in 1990, Prof. Sundene was associate director of youth at Willow Creek Community Church. She also held a variety of Christian education positions in the surrounding area.

    Sundene's areas of expertise include interpersonal communication, small groups, women in youth ministry, leadership training, effective speaking, and youth ministry. She has written in several publications, including contributions to Reaching a Generation for Christ (Dunn & Senter) and Christian Education Journal.
