From Head to Toe: A Fashion Show

Career Services is sponsoring a fashion show for undergraduate ladies. Come and learn how to dress professionally and appropriately in the ever-changing world of fashion. Banana Republic is providing the clothes. Professor and Resident Director Anne Tohme will be the guest speaker. Anne will be talking about the character of a woman. Chapel credit is available!  The event will take place on October 22, at 11:00 a.m. in Melton Hall.

College Advisement for Spring 2013 Classes

College students need to meet with their faculty advisor to plan for spring 2013 classes and get clearance to register. The advisement period is October 29 - Novmber 9; online registration begins November 12.

Come to your advisement meeting with a proposed schedule, based on requirements for your major and the spring 2013 schedule (posted online). Peer advisors are available at the University Student Success Center to help you plan your schedule prior to your meeting with your faculty member.

Not sure who your faculty advisor is? Check in the registration section of MyTIU, under your academic record. Your advisor's name is listed. Still can't find it? Contact Rebecca Smith in University Records.

Web registration begins November 12; registration times are based on seniority. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible in order to have the best selection of classes. Note that classes with low enrollment are subject to cancellation.

Snow Shoveling Hiring Event

Facility Services is seeking 20 students and/or on-campus residents (work-study preferred) to shovel snow throughout campus during the winter months.  If interested you must attend one of our Snow Shoveling Hiring Events on Wednesday, October 24th at 10:00 a.m. or Wednesday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. in Facility Services for an information session and to apply.

Rate of pay is $10 per hour, one hour minimum per request.  If not already employed on campus, please bring I-9 original documents (such as passport or TIU ID card and social security card) with you to the information session.

TSW Pathways to Ministry: Chaplaincy

Chaplain Rose Bryan, will discuss her path to chaplaincy and role as CPE Supervisor at Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL; and Dr. Ken Botton, TIU Coordinator of Chaplaincy Studies, will discuss the role of chaplains, opportunities for ministry in chaplaincy and Trinity's new program. Held in the Lee Fireside Room.

Trinity Military Ministry will be hosting a round table discussion on the theme, "Where Chaplaincy and Missiology Meet."  We will be meeting in the Lee Fireside Room (upstairs in the Lee Building) on October 24 at 3:30 pm.  This discussion is open to all who are interested and is not necessarily military specific.

The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course meets in the Lantern Lounge every Wednesday through December 5th, with the exception of Thanksgiving Break, November 21st.  Alpha is operated by TIU's Discipleship Cabinet; Chapel Credit is offered.
