The Athletic Department hosted its 2nd Annual Timothy Award Banquet at the Meyer Sports Complex on the campus of Trinity International University on Sunday, April 27th, recognizing Stephanie Frey and Dave Neuhausel as the award's recipients.

The evening began with appetizers followed by dinner, after which members of the Men's Basketball team performed "Love Song for a Savior" by Jars of Clay. Junior Stephanie Whelan, and Senior Adam Vietmeier, the runners-up for this year's award, gave testimonies about how God had impacted them through their experiences at Trinity and within athletics.

Patrick Gilliam, Athletic Director, outlined the components of the Timothy Award, while Andy Lambert, Head Football Coach, spoke on the "Community and World Impact" portion of the award, outlining the football program's effort to sponsor a child, and an upcoming mission trip to the Dominican Republic where their sponsored child resides.

The evening concluded with the presentation of the women's award to Stephanie Frey, a member of both the women's soccer and women's basketball teams, and the men's award to Dave Neuhausel, a four year member of the football team.
