ATHLETIC UPDATEOctober 2, 2006Trojan FootballThe Trojans ran into a very tough football team in UW-Stevens Point Saturday and were defeated 35-0. Trinity was unable to get much going on offense as Stevens Point held the Trojans to just four first downs, and only 104 total yards. Defensively long runs and efficient passing did in the Trojans, as the Pointers' quick running backs and receivers scored several touchdowns. The Trojans were led offensively by Quarterback Ryan Thorson, who completed 8 passes for 66 yards, and also by Running Back Brennan Smith who ran the ball for 24 yards. The Trojans will look to rebound this week when they play a very important Homecoming game against University of St. Francis at 1:00 PM. Come down to the field early for Tailgating and help support your Trojans for the big Homecoming game at 1:00 PM.
