MEN'S Soccer
Overall Record 11-6-2, 7-2(CCAC)
The Trojans played in the CCAC Semi-finals on Wednesday and defeated Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) 2-0.
Trinity got their two goals from two senior captains Tim Jeanson and Miles Shiver. The Trojans also got yet another shutout this season, this time from Senior Brad Drake. The game was dominated defensively by the Trojans and Kyle Bacon and Guillermo Kegalj led the way.
On Saturday the Trojans fell in the CCAC Final to Judson College 3-0.
This Tuesday the Trojans will host St. Ambrose University in the regional quarterfinals at home starting at 1:00 PM. If the Trojans win this game they will play against Judson College later this week in the NAIA Regional Semi-Finals. If not the Trojans will play in the NCCAA tournament this weekend.
Currently the Trojans are ranked third in their region right behind Grandview College and Judson College.
WOMEN'S Soccer
Overall Record 16-6, 6-3(CCAC)
The Trojans qualified for the NAIA Regional Playoffs this season and played Viterbo University in the NAIA Region VII Quarterfinal on Tuesday.
Trinity and Viterbo played a very tough and tight game with the Trojans breaking through in overtime to win the game 1-0. The lone goal in the game was scored by Megan Pelland from Nicole Collins and Ashleigh Dellos.
The win allowed Trinity to play in the NAIA Region VII Semi Final against St. Xavier University. The Trojans fell to St. Xavier 2-0 in a very close game. The game was 1-0 until St. Xavier added a goal in the final minute of the contest.
Trinity will make the decision this week whether they will continue their season by playing in the National Christian School's Tournament. If the Trojans do compete in this tournament they will host games starting this Friday. The Trojans will also be the #1 seed.
