Latest Men's Soccer News March 23, 2006Trinity International University is pleased to announce that Chris Bergmann has accepted the position of Head Men's Soccer Coach for the Trojans. Chris comes to TIU after serving as Head Men's Soccer Coach as well as Assistant Athletic Director and Eligibility Chairperson at Hope International University in Fullerton, CA. In his two season at Hope, Bergmann was able to lead the Royals to their first trip to the NCCAA post-season in nine years. Chris is married to Kelly Bergmann, who served as Head Women's Soccer Coach and Academic Coordinator at Hope. Bergmann assumes leadership of a Trinity International Soccer Program that posted a 9-9-3 record in 2005 and lost in the NCCAA Regional Final match and finished 3rd in the 2004 NCCAA National Tournament. It is the hope of the athletic administration of Trinity that Chris will continue the success, both on the field and spiritually, that the program has seen in recent years and build upon the strong nucleus of players currently in the program. Chris will finish his duties at Hope International until March 31, 2006 and plans to be on campus in Deerfield, IL in mid-April.
